The Management of MAMITA Technical and Business Management Institute Coordinating Centre of
Makerere University Institute of Teacher Education and Research (MITER) in the College of Education and External Studies [CEES], invites applications for admission to in-service programs for Dec 2024 Session:

Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE)

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Development (DECE)

Certificate (ECD) for UCE Leavers.

ChildCare (CC) ( PLE to UCE S4 Levels)

All Examined by Makerere University

Application Deadline for December Session: 30/11/2024 For in-service/ Holidays/Recess.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants for these program must have obtained:

(i) DPTE [ Diploma in Primary Teacher Education]: Grade III Teachers Certificate or its equivalent- 2 years with three sessions per year. Delivery mode: (face to face and online)
two-year.

(ii) DECE [Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education]: Certificate in Early Childhood Education (CEC), or a Grade III Teachers’ Certificate, or an equivalent qualification from a chartered training institution. Also, Direct entrants should have obtained at least one principal pass at A-level. Delivery mode: (face to face and online; two-year).

(iii) CEC [ Certificate in Early Childhood Education_ECD). O’Level Certificate or S.4 and its equivalent. Two years for full-time study and Three years for Recess/in-service.

(iv) CC: Child Care. PLE certificate and S.3 or UCE. One year of study. “NB. ALL Academic Documents, Certificates & Examinations will be for Makerere University”

Application fees to Makerere University ECD Programs is 50,000/= only. MAMITA is Coordinating.
